Sore Thumb!
One of my best friends is getting married and having a bachelorette party in Vegas. Compared to the rest of our clique, I’m the big girl in the group. This bothers me and even has me opting out of fun events together like going to Vegas. I don’t want to go to the pool parties or put on skimpy dresses and look FAT. I want to go, but I also wish I felt comfortable with myself.

Sounds like you may be giving up not just a fun time with the girls, but also the opportunity to make lasting memories with your closest friends if you don’t go. Do you really want to do that? I know it can be hard to party in Vegas when you don’t feel your best. But until you can do the work to raise your self-esteem and/or lose the weight you desire, consider faking it (confidence!) and not missing out on what could be an awesome time!

It's hard being the "different" one in any group, as well you know. However, it appears that your friends like you for who you are. Can you name three things about yourself that they value? Can you name three things about yourself that you value? Make a list of these traits and when feelings of insecurity raise their ugly heads, pull out your list. Making this a habit can change the way you see yourself , and build your confidence.
